A lakeside property had a perfect view, but needed an upgrade. These clients were looking to escape the city living and enjoy the stunning views of lakeside living. The existing cottage was torn down for them to build the charming cottage of their dreams, and with that came the need for a functional and enjoyable landscape. Not only was the property crying out for curb appeal and entertaining space, but more importantly a restored shoreline. A combination of removable wood steps and granite boulders provided easy access into the water while retaining the shoreline to help battle what Lake Simcoe can throw its way. Using natural stone for the rear patio added to the cottage feel. While using a modern interlock for the front walkway provides a modern flare to the country chic.
