Demonstration Rain Gardens
De la Salle Park is situated south of Lake Simcoe. Parklane was hired to design and build a rain garden that could capture and clean the water shedding from the large community building before it had a chance to enter the lake. Working with Seneca College, and a group of local children, a downspout was redirected into a simulated wetland. A permeable walkway was created for foot traffic and wheelchair access to the building.

Temporary Feature Gardens
Parklane has participated in numerous temporary feature gardens including Metro House Show, Cottage Life Show, Canada Blooms, Green Living Show, Bayview Village Mall and The National Home Show. We have partnered with The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change as well as TD Bank to provide public awareness campaign to encourage low impact development and sustainable building. All of these events had very limited time constraints for the build phase. Garden sizes of 4500 square feet were build in less than five days.
